The Gigabit Challenge Calls for Applications and Executive Summaries
from Entrepreneurs Who Want to Create the Future on the Google Fiber
Network.
Interested businesses, entrepreneurs and innovators are now invited to
participate in the global competition in order to transform ideas into
new companies that fulfill Google’s mission of developing new
applications that will expand human welfare. Applications accompanied
by 3-5 page executive summaries are currently being accepted.
Acceptance of applications and executive summaries will close on
October 31, 2011. At that time, all applications will be submitted to
the initial judging panel and up to twenty-five (25) finalists will be
announced by November 15, 2011. Applications and executive summaries
are to be electronically submitted via the Gigabit Challenge website
at http://www.gigabitchallenge.
be managed using a powerful Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application
known as iStart provided by the Kauffman Foundation.
